Microsoft .NET

CADlook Version 12 requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 in order to function correctly. If you are asked to install the framework when you run setup.exe during installing CADlook and if you either reject the installation or are not connected to the internet, you may experience problems to run CADlook. If this happens, re-run setup.exe again and accept the installation of the framework.

ATI or Intel Graphics Chips

Several versions of ATI and Intel Graphics chips contain known bugs in handling 3D OpenGL calls. These bugs may cause various kinds of problems, ranging from not being able to display CADlook 3D window correctly to crashing your machine. If your machine has one of these chips, you can disable the ATI/Intel Graphics chips by

  1. opening the Display Properties dialog window (by right clicking on your screen background then selecting Properties),
  2. clicking on the Settings tab,
  3. clicking on the Advanced button,
  4. clicking on the Troubleshoot tab,
  5. pulling the Hardware Acceleration Slide Bar to None.
  6. clicking on Apply. Try CADlook out again. In some cases, you may need to reboot your machine to get the new setting.
If you cannot find the Hardware Acceleration Slide Bar through the above steps, find out how to do it by googling "disable graphics hardware acceleration" for your particular graphics chip type.
